We believe that the present study is an informative first step in understanding the daily experience of emotion regulation and hope it will guide future research on the dynamic relationships among specific emotion regulation strategies. In addition, we hope that future research will explore ways in which to better assess in vivo emotion regulation and its fluctuations to more clearly understand the nature of these constructs and how they relate to symptoms.
