Kevin Eklund

Chief Executive Officer

Kevin guides the strategic direction and operations of LifeData. He has a diverse business background having founded and operated businesses in technology, real estate, and health/fitness. He has a considerable amount of experience in business operations, strategic planning, and growing businesses from the ground up. Kevin has special skill and experience in visioning a path and guiding organizations to execute.

Tim Steenbergh


Tim helps create LifeData products that gather good data and make the delivery of cutting-edge interventions possible. He is a clinical psychologist and has always loved using numbers to understand people and encourage their growth. Tim is Professor of Psychology at Indiana Wesleyan University, where he teaches and conducts research on health related-behaviors, spirituality, and the use of mobile technology to understand and intervene in the moments of everyday life.

Jason Runyan


Jason’s role involves helping design, create and test LifeData products that apply what we are learning through behavioral science to everyday life. He completed his graduate studies at the University of Texas, Texas Medical Center, Houston, and the University of Oxford. He is an Associate Professor at Indiana Wesleyan University and his research interests include learning and memory, human agency and free will, virtues and ecological momentary assessment/intervention.

Rick Nelson


Rick’s primary role is to provide technical direction and oversight for LifeData systems. He has a strong engineering and software background, with graduate degrees from Stanford and Golden Gate University, and expertise in database design and complex application development. Rick has founded several technology-based businesses and worked in a broad range of businesses and non-profits, including technology and health care. He has a long-term interest in psychology and personal development, and is passionate about well-designed systems and great user experiences.

Doug Daugherty


Doug’s role with LifeData involves helping customers understand the many possibilities for our system. He’s also involved in customer training and service; on-going development of expert LifePaks; and strategic planning. Doug is a licensed clinical psychologist with 25 years of clinical experience. He is a Professor of Psychology and Addictions Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University. Doug has a keen interest in how people change, positive psychology and spiritual formation.

Lorne Oke


Lorne joined the leadership team as a technical & business operations consultant. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Learning and Innovation at Indiana Wesleyan University. He consults and speaks regularly at regional and national conferences on faculty development, IT leadership and technology integration. Lorne has a special interest in personal spiritual growth and how it can be fostered through technology.

Amalesh Debnath

Principal Software Architect

Amalesh has proved himself as a top notch back end engineer. He is known for jump-starting product development, and resolving challenging technical issues. Amalesh is our lead web and database architect. His calm, focused spirit guides the development process through complex initiatives to success.

Ferdous Mohammed Shahriar

Principal Software Architect

Shahriar has over 8 years of experience in software development. He previously held positions with Trippert Labs, Playdom and Walt Disney where he was involved in the development of mobile applications. Shahriar is the lead developer for our iOS and Android application development team and lead developer for all iOS applications.

Hasan Mahmud

Principal Designer

Hasan has over 8 years of experience in product UX and UI design for mobile applications and web platform. He has strong user interface design, interaction design, visual design and usability skills. He is typography lover, pixel perfectionist, and creative problem solver with a stubborn eye for details. Hasan has worked in the past for Trippert Labs, Playdom and Walt Disney.


Caleb King

Caleb’s role with LifeData involves onboarding and customer support for researchers. He holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Business.

Ellen Steinke

Ellen’s role with LifeData involves customer success and marketing. She has been active in a faculty-student research group that is currently applying ecological momentary intervention to the study of human flourishing.

Amy Bowman

Amy supports the LifeData Sales & Marketing Team as a student intern. Her role involves maintaining social media posts & statistics, writing blogs, and keeping up to date on current experience sampling research.
